Born in Kuusamo, Anna-Maria Lehtoaho has studied organ at the Sibelius Academy Helsinki in Church Music Department. In 2008, she received her Master of Music. Since then, she has focused more on studying the organ at the Sibelius Academy as well as at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In Finland she has been taught by Markku Mäkinen and in Vienna by Martin Haselböck. Beside that, she has also studied the harpsichord with Elina Mustonen and Gordon Murray. Anna-Maria Lehtoaho has attended masterclasses with Bine Katrine Bryndorf, Pieter van Dijk, Kari Jussila, Jürgen Essl, Francesco di Lernia, Olli Porthan, among others.

Lehtoaho has performed as a soloist and a chamber musician in Finland as well as abroad - Austria, Norway, Slovakia and Turkey. Last year, she was awarded a title “Young Artist Of The Year” in Turku Cathedral.
