Katri Vesanen started her musical studies at the age of seven and took up the organ ten years later. In 2010 she completed her final exam in Sibelius Academy in church music as well as in organ interpretation with the highest grades with Olli Porthan as professor. Before this she has studied church music and organ at the Pirkanmaa Polytechnic in Tampere (Anne Nietosvaara), the University of Debrecen (Deszö Karasszon), the Conservatory of Amsterdam (Jacques van Oortmerssen). Vesanen has attended many master classes in Finland and abroad, and she has performed as chamber musician and soloist in Finland and Europe. She has won prizes in international organ competitions, and currently she is working as a choir conducter and church organist in Helsinki.
