Having won several renowned international competitions, the organist Tobias Horn (born in 1970) belongs to the leading German organists of his generation. His US debut took place in 2011.

Tobias Horn received his education from the very great of the organ world; among his teachers are Ludger Lohmann (organ) and Jon Laukvik (harpsichord). Specializing in French Baroque and Romantic Organ Music he studied intensively with personalities such as Jean Boyer (Lyon/Lille) and Ben van Oosten (The Hague/Rotterdam), which led to extensive knowledge in the field of romantic symphonic organ literature.

His repertoire belongs to the broadest repertoires and contains all great pieces of organ literature. Alongside the complete works of Bach he regularly performes all great works of Reger, Liszt, the complete works of Vierne and Widor as well as all the great works of Dupré. In addition all important works of early music und contemporary compositions, with several premieres, belong to his repertoire.

His CD recordings with romantic organ music (e.g. Reger and Vierne) are issued at the distinguished labels Motette-Ursina and Ambiente and were praised by reviewers (e.g. „Organists‘ Review“/Roger Fisher).

His pedagogical experience reaches from pedagogue (2001/2002: substitute and assistant of Prof. Ludger Lohmann at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart) to church-musical basic work with amateurs as well as masterclasses at the National Tchaikovsky Conservatory Moscow (Russia) and the State Music Academy Krakow (Poland).

Since 2016, he is teaching an international organ class at the Conservatory (Staatl. Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst) Stuttgart.
